  • Turtle Walk 07.30.21

    July 30, 2021  9:00 pm - 12:00 am

2426 Ocean Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32963, USA
Sign Up HERE for the Turtle Walk on 07.30.21 with CCinc

Nighttime Turtle Walks are guided educational programs designed to immerse you in sea turtle conservation. Loggerhead sea turtles are the most common nesting species found along Florida's coastline and during June and July, our Turtle Walks will take you out onto the nesting beach to watch a Loggerhead make her nest and return to the ocean*.

Our Turtle Team has prepared other exciting amenities to allow you to "see" as a turtle sees, conduct a mini lighting survey, and learn more about the importance of a healthy vegetated dune. You will also get your own picture of the nesting Loggerhead you watched to share your memories with others.

*Mother nature plays a significant role in the Turtle Walk schedule. Viewing a nesting loggerhead is not guaranteed and will be done only if one can be viewed following FWC permit guidelines.
  • Cleanup The Beach

    August 4, 2021  7:00 am - 8:00 am

Sexton Plaza Beach, Vero Beach, FL 32963, USA

Come Join the CCinc Vero Goes Zero team as they clean the most populated beaches of Indian River County every Wednesday Morning.

Our Vero Goes Zero team meets at 7:00am and walks the beach across all the hotels and restaurants, and while using a blue beach basket, cleans up all debris deposited on the beach.

***Cleanup is outdoors and will only occur weather permitting***

If you have been interested in volunteering with CCinc, this is a perfect way to get plugged in and meet our team! There is no weekly commitment, just a need for passionate community members wanting to give back and keep our beaches clean for people and wildlife to enjoy.

Look for people in Coastal Connections t-shirts to get all set up!
***If raining or under extreme surf, the cleanup will not occur for the safety of volunteers***
